Round 8 saw us playing Trinity away in what was a round 1 re-match. Heading into the game I asked the players for 100% effort across all four quarters and that is what they gave.
The first quarter saw us hold Trinity goalless to our 3.5. Some inaccurate kicking kept them in the game although we were well and truly on top in the contest.
The second quarter our kicking was much more accurate as we kicked five goals straight to Trinity's 3. The most pleasing aspect of the first half was our attack and pressure around the ball.
The third quarter saw us push our advantage out to 52 points as we were doing most of the small team things right and it showed on the scoreboard.
The final quarter was the icing on the cake as we piled on another five goals to their two, to finish the game 17.10.112 to 6.7.43.
All in all it was great to get some reward for our good football and effort that we have shown over the last three weeks.
