The injuries are starting to hurt the threes
The threes NEVER like to make excuses for poor results, but when you go into a game against a side that ordinarily you would be well matched with and have 15 changes to the side, no ruckman, no full back, a coach playing and 2 players picked not show up on the day, I hope you can forgive us for just a moment for pointing out that this was not an ideal preparation to the game.
However, like the previous week against AJAX, we cannot fault the guys that turned up to play for at least coming out and being competitive all the way to the end we were trying to the best of our capabilities (taking into account fitness, football experience & skill)
The first half we played out of our skin, our midfield readtheballwelloff theopposition ruckman, our backlinewere strong in tough conditions and our forward duo of TMB & Reddish were causing havoc. We went inat half time thinking we had a mountain to climb, but that we may have been a sneaky chance of causing an upset.

In the second and third quarters it wasa lot like previous weeks, our injuries piled up and our opposition took advantage and control of the game.
We fought gallantly and never gave up but once they started winning the midfield battle (with the exception of Andrew Kent who possibly had 30+ positions & a goal to his name) they were able to thwart our challenges and they piled on the goals with unrelenting forward entries on the small ground catching our defence out time after time.
The last quarter was pretty brutal as tired legs ran out of steam. We look forward to resetting after the Bye
